Anna Engle finished first in her
class at Streetsboro High school.
She plans to teach ESL or elementary education. She would like to
teach in the inner city or overseas. She plans to attend Eastern
Mennonite University
in Virginia. Anna says, "Children add freshness
to life,
and I would love to work with them for the rest of my life."
Emily Grad is a Field High School
graduate who will be majoring in
integrated language arts education, with minors in ministry and
theology at Malone
College. "If I were to teach at a high school,
either public or Christian, I would like to coach the school's
cross
country and track teams. Concerning the mission's field, I would
prefer teaching
English to Muslim children and women or in under-
developed African nations."
Kyle Kalail graduated first in his
class at Waterloo High School. He
plans to attend Hastings College in Nebraska to earn a degree in math
education
and become a high school math teacher. "I am striving to
become a teacher because of the impact my own teachers
have had
on my life."
Kevin White is a graduate of Field
High School. He will be attending
Kent State University and majoring in integrated social studies. He
would
like to be a political science and history teacher and one day
teach at the college level. "My love of the educational
experience and
the belief that great teachers make a difference adds to my
determination. However flawed the
education system is, I believe
I can make a difference."
Marissa Whitely is a graduate of Waterloo
High School and will be
attending Kent State University majoring in English education. She
hopes to teach at
a small school around Portage County. "I plan on
staying involved in my 4-H club and will also be keeping a steady
job during college."
